Voigtlander 15mm F4.5 Super Wide-Heliar The first generation was actually designed for analog photography. In my opinion, the black and white photos of the Leica m8 are very film-like. This lens is amazing for black and white on the m8, it’s sharp and clear and compact, perfect for street photography.
The ultra-wide angle allows me to get close to the scene and shoot at very close distances, sometimes the closer you get the less likely you are to be seen. Since I don’t have to compose the shot at all, I don’t have to hold the camera in front of my eyes. I just set the focus ring to 1.5 meters and press the shutter when I want.
