Hi there!
Hi there!
I’m a product manager for financial trading systems and risk control—because someone has to keep the numbers from spiraling into chaos. But my true passion lies in street photography, though not in the traditional sense. I don’t just take photos; I add words to them, because a picture without a story is like a trade without risk: technically possible, but utterly uninteresting.

For over a decade, I’ve been wandering the streets of Beijing, chasing light and shadows, capturing moments that whisper more than they shout. i50mm.com was my first attempt at blogging in Chinese, and later, I launched i35mm.com for the English-speaking world. Here, I share my photos, thoughts on camera gear, and the occasional existential musing.
But let’s be honest: no matter how fancy the camera or how sharp the lens, they’re just tools. The best equipment can’t outshine the raw beauty of real light, the kind that dances on a Beijing alleyway or glows through a stranger’s smile. Photography, for me, isn’t about the perfect shot or the latest gear. It’s about observing, feeling, and sometimes even forgetting the camera altogether. The real value of photography lies in the connection it fosters—with the world, with others, and with myself.
So, welcome to my little corner of the internet. Here, you’ll find photos, stories, and maybe a few reminders to slow down and notice the light. After all, life’s too short to take seriously, but just long enough to capture a few good moments along the way.
